On Board Radiance of the Seas

Time to sail. Goodbye Honolulu

After a few hiccups getting on board. We were told to arrive at 8.59pm & NO earlier. When we arrived along with about another 100 passengers. We were asked "Where have you been, was your plane late" we have been waiting for you to arrive. They had closed the porters section that take your luggage on board. Only one person checking us in to get our Seapass so we could access our cabins. Total stuff up.

Naturally we were all upset about the lack of organisation. The ship had docked the day before & most passengers had boarded at midday. Here we were at 9pm at night still trying to get on board. Ship sailed @ midnight

This home for the next 18 days as we sail across the Pacific to Tahiti & NZ.

We had been in Honolulu for 9 days & never met up with Bob's cousin Bobby & Lin who had been to Canada & Las Vegas & spent 5 days here before the cruise. We looked high & low for them without any success. The whole idea was to surprise them & that we did.

When we finally got on board & made our way up to the pool deck to watch the ship sail. Bobby had just been on the phone to his son Craig who told them we were in Hawaii & he said wouldn't it be funny if they were coming on the cruise & at that moment saw us come out onto the deck. Loads of screaming & cuddling with excitement that we really had surprised them. Time for a setting sail drink is in order!!!!

People who have been across the equator more than once are called "SHELLBACKS"
